- Available in a handheld or panel-mount housing.
- 24- or 40-key steel-dome membrane keypad; optional lighted keypad.
- 4 or 5 programmable LEDs on keypad, plus shift and power LEDs.
- One serial port EIA-232, EIA-422 or EIA-485.
- Two serial ports: one EIA-232/422 (software configurable) and one EIA-232 serial port
- -20 to 60 °C operating temperature; consumes 210 mA @ 12 VDC.
- 2 Mbytes of flash memory for firmware, user applications and file space with 16 Mbytes RAM.
- Tough ABS/polycarbonate case available in blue, gray or black with black over-molded rubber boot.
- Programmable speaker, optional audio (.wav) decoder, optional real-time clock.
- Industrially hardened to operate in many environmental conditions and meets NEMA-4 or -12 depending on configuration. CE certified.
- The standard VTERM-G55 has a power regulator for use with an 8 to 32 VDC supply.

- Wide operating temperature of -20 to 70 °C, storage temperature of -40 to 85 °C
